Makoto Fujimura is an artist, writer, and speaker who is recognized worldwide as a cultural influencer by both faith-based and secular media. But what is his story of coming to faith in Jesus Christ and seeing his artistic creations in light of the Gospel message? That’s what we’ll explore in conversation with Makoto this edition of FIRST PERSON.
I first met Makoto several years ago through our mutual friend, Michael Card. Michael and I did a program called IN THE STUDIO for several years and Makoto was a frequent guest on the phone, discussing creativity and community in a biblical context.
Makoto recently completed a major work, an illuminated ESV Gospel text called The Four Holy Gospels for Crossway, commemorating the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible. I urge you to click on the link and learn more about this exquisite publication which includes all original art by Makoto.
Thanks for your listening support of FIRST PERSON, whether through release on radio, or through our podcast. I am enjoying bringing these interviews to you and trust that you find them to be beneficial reminders of how God redeems, prepares, and calls us for His Kingdom purposes.
