Many years ago I hosted a weekly radio program with Josh McDowell, the great apologist and speaker. Josh was extremely active in evangelism and meeting humanitarian needs in the countries of the former Soviet Union, so I was privileged to travel to Russia a couple of time in the early 90′s and see what was happening first hand.
Through that experience, I came to realize how significant the collapse of the Soviet Union was in history. Which brings me to this week’s FIRST PERSON guest, Sergey Rakhuba, President of Russian Ministries. Sergey who was a young man living in Moscow when history was made, gives an account of those days. He also talks about ministry in the nations of the former Soviet Union today, including a Christmas children’s program called Project Hope. To help Project Hope with a gift, call 888-462-7639.
NEXT WEEK: Women setting their sights on climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro– for a bold purpose.
