When our paths crossed briefly this past summer, I was reminded of the excellent ministry that has developed through Carol Kent. So, this week you will hear from Carol herself how God has and is using her gifts to teach God’s Word to women internationally. But Carol does even more as she is an encouragement to many others in how to write and communicate that message themselves.

Also, if you know Carol, you know that her son is serving a life sentence in prison without the possibility of parole. In our conversation, she will update us on how her son is faithfully sharing the gospel himself with other inmates.

Carol is the founder and director of the Speak Up Conference, a ministry that equips speakers and writers to take the next step. With her husband Gene, she founded the nonprofit organization, Speak Up for Hope, which benefits inmates and their families. Carol is also the president of Speak Up Speaker Services, a Christian speakers’ bureau.
