Chad Roberts

This week on FIRST PERSON, you’ll meet a remarkable man. His name is Chad Roberts and he is a pastor who happens to be totally blind. I met Chad briefly at the 2023 National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Orlando and was struck by his testimony. He is the pastor of Preaching Christ Church in Kingsport, TN, and his radio program featuring his sermons is Awakened to Grace. The program can also be heard here on OnePlace.com.

Here is what Chad says about himself: “Most people are surprised to learn that I am a blind pastor.  After losing eyesight in 2018, I resolved to continue being a pastor and preaching God’s Word.  Although I would have to approach it differently, I determined that I wouldn’t quit.  Perhaps you are someone who would like to feel closer to God and understand His Word better.  My role as a pastor and Bible teacher is to help people clearly see God’s will for their lives.  What an odd assignment for a blind man, wouldn’t you say?”
