I admire Charles Morris and count him as a friend. As the host of Haven Today, Charles brings a journalist’s inquiring mind to the people he interviews and the topics he covers– always pointing to Jesus as the “author and finisher” of our faith. However, when we sat down to talk during the National Religious Broadcasters convention in Nashville last year, I did not know many of the details of his career before taking on the assignment at Haven, nor did I know much more than the basic facts of the death of his son, Jeff. So, I turned the table on him and Charles became the interviewee on First Person.
You’ll hear the interview on the broadcast, and when you do, my hope is that you will gain new confidence in the Lord’s ability to take something tragic turn it into an experience of faith and joy, even in the midst of pain and tears.
