Don Finto
Even though we had never met, several people had told me that I needed to interview Don Finto. So, on a trip to Nashville, I arranged to meet him in his home and talk about his remarkable life. You’ll hear that conversation this week on FIRST PERSON.
Don has been a missionary, professor, pastor, ministry founder, speaker, and author. At 90 years of age, he has a great wealth of experience and wisdom from his years following the Lord and mentoring many people. While my primary reason for talking with him was to explore his role in the Jesus Movement of the 60’s and 70’s when he was pastor of Belmont Church in Nashville, one of the movement’s hot spots, I found many other reasons why you should know this man. Among them is at the end of our interview when he spoke of an experience in his childhood that surprised me.
