This week on FIRST PERSON, you will hear the honest account of a U.S. soldier who served his country well, but was dying spiritually inside. Fernando Arroyo is a
veteran with several deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. He was part of horrific fighting which served to harden his heart and pulled him further away from God. He left the army a broken man who blamed God for his anger, alienation, and depression which even led to attempted suicide.

Fortunately, he turned the corner when he gave his life to God in complete surrender. He now considers himself privileged to serve those who served our country, with the goal of ending veteran suicide.
