Glen Keane – Legendary Disney Animator
As Lead Animator at Walt Disney Animation Studios during a career that spanned 37 years, Glen Keane is well known for his work on the feature films, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas, Tarzan and many, many other much-loved animated films. Keane received the 1992 Annie Award for character animation, the 2007 Winsor McCay Award. for lifetime contribution to the field of animation and in 2013 was named a Disney Legend.
The son of Bil Keane, the creator and artist of the popular newspaper comic strip Family Circus, Glen is our FIRST PERSON guest this week to tell his story of his faith in Christ and calling to be an artist.
Glen has now written and illustrated series of children’s books, The Adventures of Adam Raccoon, which was created when he was asked to teach in a church summer vacation Bible school program.
