This week on FIRST PERSON, we focus on the stories of several women who, at the turn of the 20th century, followed God’s leading to accomplish great things. Sometimes they risked their own safety, often they risked their reputations, but all of them are remembered today for what God did through them. Well, they are sometimes remembered. That’s why Jamie Janosz wrote her book, When Others Shuddered; Eight Women Who Refused to Give Up— to help us remember and celebrate the lives of these women.
