Percy McCray

Percy-McCray-SmallThis week, I welcome Percy McCray as my FIRST PERSON guest. Percy is Director of Faith-Based Programs at Cancer Treatment Centers of America.

Overcoming cancer often requires a heroic amount of physical, emotional and spiritual strength. No one understands this better than the Reverend Percy McCray and his dedicated pastoral staff. Everyday Percy oversees a network of pastoral caregivers who help cancer victims and their families build a bridge from despair to hope. In creating an environment conducive to healing and recovery, pastoral care providers are a great source of comfort for patients and families.

A fully ordained minister, Rev. McCray is a member of the United States Chaplains Association and an executive board member for Eternal Light Ministries in Chicago. He has been recognized as one of the “most influential African Americans in Lake County (IL)” by the People’s Voice newspaper for his religious and leadership roles within the community.

In addition to his role as Director of Faith-Based Programs at CTCA, Rev. McCray helps lead Our Journey of Hope®, a cancer ministry training and support program.
