Ron Block
Ron Block is a musician that you listen to and wonder how does someone even do what he does with the banjo and guitar. He is one of the best in Nashville circles not only as a player, but also as a vocalist and songwriter for Alison Krauss and Union Station. But there is another side to this talented musician. He loves to follow and serve God with his life and has written a devotional book titled, ABIDING DEPENDENCE; Living Moment by Moment in the Love of God. It’s a wonderfully fresh way of experiencing God more deeply. You’ll find the book here.
But another great way to experience Ron’s book, is with the audio version. On it, he also includes guitar pieces at the beginnings and ends of each devotional day, plus two or three pieces throughout each reading. You can sample the audiobook, read by Ron himself, or purchase it here.
The first time I interviewed Ron was in his Tennessee home in 2011 and that interview, including his guitar rendition of What a Friend We Have in Jesus, can be here in our audio archive here.
