This week’s FIRST PERSON guest has served his country with distinction, first rising to the rank of Major General in the U.S. Air Force, including combat missions as a fighter pilot. After several other key assignments, Ambassador Scott Gration then served as the President’s Special Envoy to Sudan, and eventually Ambassador to Kenya.
The unique part of Ambassador Gration’s story is that he grew up in Africa as the son of missionaries, which brought a wealth of relationships and experience to his diplomatic job. However, his career in the State Department was short lived for reasons he’ll explain in this week’s interview.
The full story of Ambassador Scott Gration’s life is told in his book, FLIGHT PATH; Son of Africa to Warrior-Diplomat. More information about the book can be found at www.ScottGration.com.
NEXT WEEK: Dean Niewolny, CEO of The Halftime Institute
