As a boy, Okongo Samson was captured by a band of terrorists, then beaten for weeks– only to escape through a series of miraculous circumstances that he knows were orchestrated by God. This week on FIRST PERSON, you will hear Okongo’s story and learn how he has not only learned to forgive those who tortured him, but is using the experience to grow closer to Jesus Christ and share God’s love with others.
Okongo is the Founder of Unite 4 Africa which seeks to minister love and compassion across Africa and beyond, including the most unreached and war-torn nations of the world. His story is told in his book, ABDUCTED BUT NOT FORSAKEN.
